1. Measure the wall you want the wallpaper to be installed to. Starting from one corner of the wall, blot the width of the wallpaper minus a half inch. Using a level, draw a vertical line that will serve as your guide of where the two wallpaper strips should meet.
2. Prepare the wallpaper and hold it against the wall. Decide for the patterns and styles and mark the wallpaper using your pencil.
3. Using a scissors or sharp razor, cut your wallpaper into strips. Make sure to give at least 2 inches allowance at the bottom and top of the wallpaper for accurate matching for patterns. After the installation, excess wallpaper strips can be trimmed.
4. Lay the wallpaper flat over your worktable and put even coating of adhesive agent using a paint roller.
5. Next step is booking. This method allows the glue or paste to smear throughout the wallpaper. Fold the wallpaper into two sections: top half part toward the middle and the bottom half part to the middle. Set it aside fro about 5 minutes to allow the paste to settle.
6. Now, it is time to attach the wallpaper to the wall. Open out the top part of the wallpaper strip and affix it against the wall. Make sure that it is properly placed on the top of the wall that has mark. Also ensure that the strips are aligned at the vertical line accordingly.
7. Smooth out the edges using a sponge. It should be moistened but make sure that it is not overly saturated with water.
8. Remove air bubbles and wrinkles by brushing the wallpaper from the center towards the edges.
9. Unfold the strip’s lower half. Repeat Steps 6, 7 and 8.
10. Trim the excess strips with razor
11. Install the rest of the wallpaper until the entire wall is covered.
